Real IPL Blog is the brainchild of Vikram Malik, an avid cricket enthusiast like the rest of the 1.2 billion people in his country!
The IPL in particular has always inspired him to bring out his writing skills and that is the reason he has put together this blog, which combines much more than simple textual elements as seen on most blogs, to put together an entire media rich weblog which appeals to an entire cross-section of viewers out there.
The endeavor here is to appeal to readers beyond just India alone, on to those from other cricketing nations and indeed anyone else, no matter which geography. After all, it has been commonly observed that when it comes to the IPL in particular - people from so many different countries and cultures have been completely enamored by the extent to which it has been patronized by players and individuals from across so many different places.
Moreover, amid India's poor track record as a host for sporting events (for e.g. - Commonwealth Games 2010), the Indian Premier League is certainly a vivid exception where the overall coordination and the quality of the stadiums as well as accommodation (no less than the best 5 Stars in the country) is truly world class.
Agreed that there have been numerous controversies which have dogged the IPL over the years, with Season 5 in 2012 having its fair share - even as I write this (match fixing or more specifically 'spot fixing'; Shahrukh Khan at Wankhede stadium, Luke Pomersbach in Delhi), that does not take any sheen away from the IPL. It is (and am sure will be) a superb tournament.
So let's just enjoy the game!
